Healthcare finance at HCA and HealthTrust, trained as a CPA (inactive). I learned rigor at scale, and what it feels like to be a cog. My favorite memory: learning the office curmudgeon loved instant coffee, and giving her a giant tin for Christmas. Nobody had asked her before.
VP of Finance, then COO at 5by5. We grew from 17 people to nearly 50, through COVID, an employee-ownership transition and an acquisition. I made it my job to know every person's story.
The acquisition moved me to 3LS Solutions. Then, in a reorganization, I was let go. It hurt. It also made clear what I care about most.
Years coaching my kids' teams. Two and a half years ago the middle school asked me to coach girls' basketball, even though I didn't work there. And now flag football too. Every player gets a high five on the way out.
Advising leaders under my own name. Helping athletes through FortySix. Husband and dad of three at home.
